How It Started

Nobody starts in cybersecurity.

"Nobody starts in cybersecurity. You fall into it from somewhere else. For me it started in IT operations, moved through service management, through enterprise sales, and landed in the space where technology, risk, and business strategy intersect."

Manav Chadha spent the early part of his career deep inside enterprise IT — managing infrastructure, certifying as an MCSE, and earning his ITIL credentials while learning how organizations actually break. That journey through operations and service management gave him something that pure security consultants often lack: a visceral understanding of the operational reality underneath the controls.

He built on that foundation with an MBA in Operations & Systems, then spent years in enterprise sales environments — learning how risk decisions get made at the executive and board level. QTSI was founded to bring that full stack of credibility — technical depth, business fluency, and operational reality — to Canadian organizations that need executive-grade cybersecurity and technology leadership without the overhead of a full C-suite hire.

Biography

Two decades. One through-line.

Manav Chadha has spent over twenty years at the intersection of enterprise technology, risk management, and business operations. He entered the field in IT operations, built deep infrastructure expertise through his MCSE and ITIL certifications, and progressively moved into roles that demanded a broader strategic view — service management, enterprise sales, and executive advisory work.

His energy sector experience — including engagements with TAQA, one of Canada's largest integrated energy companies — exposed him to the operational technology environments, regulatory pressure, and enterprise-grade security requirements that are among the most demanding in any industry. That grounding gives QTSI a credibility and pattern-recognition that most cybersecurity firms simply haven't earned.

Manav's Life Insurance License, held through the Alberta Insurance Council, adds a further dimension of credibility in the financial services sector — a rare qualification among technology consultants that signals depth of regulatory understanding.

Why Our Background Matters

Expertise earned, not just certified.

Credentials are necessary. Experience in high-stakes environments is what makes them meaningful. Here is why QTSI's background translates into better outcomes for your organization.

Energy Sector Credibility

Experience with TAQA-level engagements means QTSI understands operational technology risk, regulatory pressure, and enterprise-grade environments — the most demanding security contexts in any industry. That exposure raises the floor of every client engagement.

Business + Technical Fluency

An MBA in Operations combined with 20+ years in enterprise IT means Manav can walk into a board meeting and a server room on the same day and be credible in both. Security advice that can't be translated into business terms isn't advice — it's noise.
